About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Penetration Testing Lead to join our team at Alpitronic. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for leading a dedicated Red Team in performing penetration tests on various systems and infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of security experts in performing penetration tests on chargers, embedded controllers, vehicles, and backend infrastructures using various techniques such as brute force, code injection, malformed data, fuzzing, and hardware hacking.
  • Perform open ports, binary, and FW images scanning, and attack implemented security mitigations to bypass them.
  • Identify weaknesses and vulnerabilities in charging protocols associated with EV and CPO, and report any findings to support the team in assessing the identified vulnerabilities and providing remediation requirements.
  • Participate in CTF and Bug Bounty competitions at global security conferences.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for the team on advanced security topics.
  • Collaborate with our customer's Red Teams and run workshops and hackathons.
  • Support 3rd party pentests and oversee and verify remediations.
  • Manage Red/Blue Team exercises, war games, and playbook creation.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in electronic/information engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or equivalent.
  • Professional experience in cybersecurity, including published research and talks at well-known cybersecurity/hacker conferences.
  • Familiarity with cryptographic algorithms and knowledge of basic security mechanisms such as secure boot, authenticated SW updates, and access control.
  • Experience working in Linux environments.
  • Previous team leading experience, including coordinating the team, reporting to middle/senior management, creating and running training courses, etc.
  • Knowledge of scanning techniques and SW/HW fault injection mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with reverse engineering techniques, μProcessors and μControllers debugging and control, HW security devices and mechanisms, and their programming.
  • Independent and meticulous working style with an analytical mindset.
  • Fluent in English, Italian, and/or German would be an advantage.
