Position: HVAC Specialist for Naval Living Quarters

Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated professional with expertise in the design of HVAC systems specifically tailored for naval living quarters and modules. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of relevant experience and a thorough understanding of the key international standards governing this field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define design criteria for HVAC systems, considering mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation factors.
  • Interpret contract specifications and requirements accurately, focusing on critical project aspects.
  • Develop comprehensive architectures and solutions for HVAC systems, ensuring seamless integration with other technological systems in buildings/modules.
  • Prepare and review project documentation, including specifications, data sheets, duct and piping layouts, P&I diagrams, and electrical schematics.
  • Assess job risks and weaknesses, explore alternative solutions, and evaluate the feasibility of proposed work.
  • Oversee and coordinate design activities conducted by external suppliers, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.

Essential Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of HVAC equipment characteristics and installation/testing procedures.
  • Familiarity with electrical and instrumentation systems related to equipment selection and control systems.
  • Basic knowledge of noise control measures in inhabited buildings/modules.
  • Experience in designing technological systems within buildings, including budgeting, cost estimation, and quality assurance.

Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.

Language Proficiency: B2 level in English is required.

Employment Type: Permanent Contract

Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD or MicroStation), specialized technical software (Carrier, MC4), and modeling tools (such as REVIT, Navisworks, AVEVA Marine) is essential.

Desirable Skills: Experience in planning and project management is advantageous.

Mobility: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for assignments as required.
