We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Equipment Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Tn Italy. As an HVAC Specialist, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
Key Responsibilities- Repair and maintain facility heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, applying knowledge of electronic theory and basic logic circuits while working with industrial controls systems (ICS) such as Energy Management and Controls Systems (EMCS).
- Troubleshoot and repair various types of electronically controlled HVAC units and systems and self-contained and/or stand-alone HVAC unit controls.
- Apply control knowledge to determine if any defects are present, explore probable reasons for equipment faults, locate, isolate, and correct equipment, component, and subassembly malfunctions associated with local area network, wireless devices, servers, control panels, control hardware and software used in HVAC and EMCS systems.
- Perform pre-testing, operational functions, and final testing, tuning, alignment, and/or calibration of installed moderately complex electronic and conventional HVAC, ICS, and EMCS controls systems.
- Perform work that involves installing, recognizing the causes of faulty equipment, and making repairs on a variety of domestic and commercial air conditioning and refrigeration units and systems including other equipment of comparable complexity.
- Repair, replace and/or adjust a variety of electrical devices, repair electrical circuits, repair and replace water circulating pumps and cooling coils, align motors and pump shafts.
- Perform inspections on newly installed systems for proper installation and operation of equipment, recharge system to proper levels of refrigerant, perform mechanical and electrical maintenance at #600 split units and #400 chiller machines.
- Replace and/or clean filters, bleed systems and replace refrigerators, test for leaks and for excessive load conditions, recondition, modify, and fabricate parts.
- Perform maintenance on gas and oil burners for boilers, maintain and repair a variety of industrial and domestic mechanical and electrical operated equipment.
- Use all hand tools, test equipment and instruments, welding equipment and shop machines including oxy-acetylene equipment.
- Install, maintain, repair, and replace warm air furnaces, electric, gas (natural and liquefied), and heat pumps that are designed for both heating and cooling.
- Observe and test-operate the system to localize malfunctions in automatic controls to make needed repairs, inspect, adjust, and replace component parts of systems as necessary.
- Clean and lubricate pumps and motors, test units, pumps, and systems when repairs and/or replacements are completed to ensure they are operating according to requirements.
- Perform periodic inspection of emergency generators in support of sensitive facilities, train inexperienced personnel by giving on-the-job instructions and assistance, observing all safety rules and regulations.
- Perform shop maintenance/housekeeping duties such as cleaning tools, operational maintenance of shop equipment, sorting of supplies, and materials.
- A valid Italian driver's license type "B" is required.
- At the UC-05 grade level, applicants are also required to possess "Patentino F-GAS" in accordance with regulation "CE 303/2008" and subsequent amendments, and "PES" certification in accordance with "CEI 11-27" and "CEI EN /2" issued by agencies specialized in technical training.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain the military driver's license equivalent to Italian driver's license type "B", at the UC-06 grade level, obtain and maintain the "Patentino F-GAS" and "PES" certification, at the UC-05 grade level, maintain the "Patentino F-GAS" and "PES" certification.
