The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineering Design Lead to oversee a variety of complex infrastructure initiatives. Our team collaborates on projects across both public and private sectors, working closely with multidisciplinary teams globally.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the design and execution of site infrastructure for intricate projects, ensuring effective collaboration with various disciplines.
  • Serving as the primary contact for clients, managing project delivery from initial feasibility through to completion.
  • Coordinating with clients to establish and meet design objectives throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Defining site surveys and assessments necessary for accurate design data collection.
  • Advancing site infrastructure designs through various stages, including permitting and procurement.
  • Overseeing civil construction activities as part of the project oversight team.
  • Contributing to the growth of our Civil Engineering practice by engaging in client interactions, preparing proposals, and participating in business development efforts.
  • Sharing expertise within the team to ensure the highest quality of service delivery.

We seek individuals who are passionate about infrastructure and its environmental impact. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering along with substantial experience in a consultancy setting.
  • Chartered status or in the process of obtaining it.
  • Proficient technical design skills in areas such as water management, energy systems, roadways, and utilities.
  • Experience in producing timely and budget-compliant drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Familiarity with the regulatory and planning frameworks relevant to the Italian context.
  • Capability to lead and manage the design process from conceptualization to detailed execution.
  • Experience in managing design interfaces across various disciplines including architecture and structural engineering.
  • A commitment to advancing digital project delivery and staying informed about industry trends in digital technologies and BIM.
  • Experience in leading teams within a digital/BIM framework, ensuring seamless coordination of civil services.
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D, Revit, and other BIM applications.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic modeling tools and clash detection processes.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
