Position: HVAC Specialist for Naval Living Quarters

Business Line: ENCAR

Position Overview: We are seeking a qualified professional with expertise in the design of HVAC systems specifically tailored for naval living quarters and modules. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of specialized experience in air conditioning design and a comprehensive understanding of relevant international standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop design criteria for HVAC systems, integrating mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation considerations.
  • Interpret contract specifications and design bases, ensuring accurate understanding of critical project aspects.
  • Create and evaluate architectural solutions for HVAC systems, ensuring proper coordination with other technological systems in accordance with project specifications.
  • Prepare and review project documentation, including specifications, data sheets, duct and piping layouts, P&I diagrams, and electrical schematics.
  • Assess job risks and weaknesses, analyze alternative solutions, and evaluate the feasibility of proposed work.
  • Oversee and coordinate design activities conducted by external suppliers, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment characteristics and installation/testing procedures.
  • Basic understanding of electrical and instrumentation systems related to equipment selection and control systems.
  • Familiarity with noise control studies, particularly in manned buildings/modules.
  • Experience in designing technological systems within buildings, including budgeting, cost estimation, planning, and quality assurance.

Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Language Proficiency: English (B2 level)

Employment Type: Permanent Contract

Technical Skills: Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD or MicroStation), technical software (Carrier, MC4), and modeling tools (REVIT, Navisworks, AVEVA Marine).

Desirable Skills: Project management and planning capabilities.

Mobility: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for assignments.
