About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Officer to join our team at GRS Recruitment. As an Accounting Officer, you will be responsible for processing payments and documents, posting and updating accounting data, and performing end-of-day procedures.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Financial Transactions: Process payments and documents such as invoices, journal vouchers, employee reimbursements, and statements.
  • Accounting Data Management: Post, update, and/or retrieve accounting data from automated systems.
  • Financial Reporting: Post financial data to appropriate accounts in an accounting system and prepare required monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reporting to regulators.
  • Record Keeping: Keep VAT records and prepare quarterly VAT reports, and file and archive documents connected to the accounting function.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Prepare bank reconciliations on a timely manner.
  • Expense Management: Prepare and update expense schedules and review against the budget of the Company.
  • Communication: Liaise with external auditors and other external advisors.
Candidate Profile
  • Education: Holder of a degree in accounting or any other related subject.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, excellent organization skills, time management skills, ability to work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Language: Be fluent in Greek and English languages.
