We support all AWS data centers, maintaining the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that keep customers’ innovations running. Our inclusive culture welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.Key job responsibilitiesTroubleshoot technical issues on advanced hardware, ranging from servers, storage, and networking devices to keep them operating 24/7.Maintain a high level of system reliability and availability.Participate in projects to enhance operational efficiencies and share experiences and knowledge with the global network of technical experts.Share knowledge and help train less technical staff on best practices related to all service owner issues.Help build a great team by participating in the Amazon hiring process and candidate interviews.Work and meet SLAs against assigned trouble tickets via a directed workflow; be the first‑line touchpoint for hardware troubleshooting and technical issues.Perform on‑call duties and participate in Data Center operations, handling scheduled maintenance and change‑management activities.Participate in team meetings for metric analysis and discuss achieving daily/weekly goals.Apply policies and procedures related to safety and security and understand their appropriate application.Contribute to documentation through root‑cause analysis and process‑improvement initiatives relevant to the data center environment.Assist in training less experienced members of the team.A day in the lifeSupport data center infrastructure equipment (racks, servers, networking devices, cables).Follow a ticket‑based environment, resolve problems systematically, perform routine hardware operations, and install spare parts.Participate in on‑call duties, scheduled maintenance, and change‑management activities.Demonstrate strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving.Help maintain tidiness in operation areas and cover a 24×7 shift rotation.About the teamWe value diverse experiences.
