Reporting To Chapter Leader Product Management Your Role and Responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape the Large UPS portfolio as a Product manager and drive return on investment for ABB’s Power Protection business. Each day, you will ensure ABB has a full understanding of data center market requirements (e.g., modular blocks, containerized solutions, centralized static bypass) and transform those requirements into offer specifications and development activities. You will also showcase your expertise by performing various offer lifecycle activities, supporting development, launch, maintenance, pricing, and profitability—while meeting aggressive cost-per-kW targets and sustainability commitments. The work model for the role is: Hybrid () Preferred location: Europe You Will Be Mainly Accountable For Understanding and following global standards, market and customer requirements, and their impact on the current offer portfolio. Conducting valuation of market size and trends, competitor benchmarking (including reverse-costing), and identifying offering gaps to strengthen ABB’s market standing. Ensuring technical solutions (e.g., modular architecture, centralized bypass) can be leveraged across the portfolio to maximize reuse and scalability. Managing technical specifications for assigned products and supporting business cases for new developments, cost reduction, and lifecycle transitions. Driving design-to-cost initiatives to achieve low kW targets without compromising quality or compliance. Coordinating IEC/UL certification pathways, sustainability deliverables (EPDs, circularity), and preconfigured solution codes for priority regions. Maintaining clear communication in PO Syncs, Big Room Planning, and publishing roadmap updates to stakeholders. Our Team Dynamics You will join a high-performing, cross-functional Agile team that thrives on collaboration, speed, and innovation—where quality is non-negotiable and sustainability is embedded in every gate. Qualifications You are highly skilled in Agile methodologies, product lifecycle management, and the data center power protection market. Ability to demonstrate 5+ years of experience in product management or portfolio leadership within electrical systems or UPS solutions. (Optional) Previous experience working as a Product Manager for modular UPS or power protection technologies. Possess advanced knowledge of PLM tools, SAP, and MS Office Suite; familiarity with cost modeling and competitor benchmarking is a plus. You are passionate about cross-functional collaboration, strategic thinking, and customer-centric innovation. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration (or equivalent). Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g., Mandarin) are an advantage for APAC engagement.
