For the project to succeed, its core will focus on building and maintaining a VST3/AUv3/LV2/AAX plugin.The Role:We are looking for a CTO / Co-Founder who wants to build the project from day 0. You will own the technical vision, architecture, and execution, and grow with the project.This role is ideal for someone who:Is technically skilled and wants to grow as a leaderCan justify choices wearing both technical and non-technical hatsEnjoys the early-stage chaos of a startup and to transform it into structured, scalable systemsWants real ownership and long‑term impact, not a 9–5 jobDoes the job with confidence and openness.What you’ll do:Help reasoning about UX and application flowsDefine and own the technical vision and architectureCode the plugin and some web componentsMake key decisions around scalability, security, and cloud cost efficiencyShape the product roadmap with the founderEstablish DevOps, CI/CD, monitoring, and deployment standardsEnsure security, GDPR compliance, and best practicesIdentify and resolve technical challenges and issues as they arise during development and deployment.Maintain comprehensive documentation for code, architecture, and deployment processes.What we’re looking for:Qualifications:At least 1 VST3/AUv3/LV2/AAX plugin published on the marketStrong expertise in software engineering and system architectureStrong expertise in coding patterns (OOP, MVC, DRY, …)Knowledge of PM Agile SCRUM fundamental conceptsAbility to translate ideas into working full‑stack solutionsProficiency in C++Experience on Juce frameworkExperience or willing to learn GPU.audio SDKExperience or willing to learn Python (for ML purposes inside the plugin)Understanding of or willing to learn modern web stacks: Databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB), React & SSR (ViteJs/NextJs), TailwindCSSPractical DevOps expertise (Docker, CI/CD, Kubernetes or Github Actions)Deep knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP, Vercel)Strong security awareness (OWASP, GDPR, SOC2, modern authentication systems)Great eye for UX/UI and User‑Centered DesignStartup mindset: ownership, pragmatism, resilienceEducation & Experience:BSc/MSc/PhD degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Engineering, or equivalent with hands‑on experience in building and scaling software systems.Languages:English (conversational and professional)Italian knowledge is preferredExperience with ML, AI and GenAI applied to audio enhancementsExperience with a classical music instrument and/or with recording classical instrumentsPrior founder or early‑stage startup experienceWhat we offer:Recognition as a Chief Technology Officer (Co‑Founder), with influence on strategy and direction.Equity participation with milestone vesting.Competitive salary once funding is secured or after profit.A rare chance to shape technology, culture, and strategy from day one.A good chance to change the world of music creation.We are an equal‑opportunity employer and value diversity.
