We provide integrated engineering and project management services across the entire project lifecycle – from concept and design to construction and operations, to decommissioning or repowering and life‑extension.Overview of the RoleThe Energy Transition team within our Energy unit seeks a Project Manager to lead technical advisory projects in a growing portfolio, supporting clients across the UK and Europe as part of the energy transition. You will also play an active role in improving our project‑management processes and approach, driving delivery excellence and efficiency.Key Responsibilities and DutiesDeliver projects on scope, time, quality and costBuild and manage strong relationships with senior client representatives and internal stakeholdersEstablish effective communication across the entire delivery teamTake the lead on problem solving and decision makingControl internal and external commercial aspects of the project under contractual arrangementsManage risk to the business and to the clientWork effectively on several projects concurrently to meet tight deadlinesExpected Experience and SkillsProven success in the delivery of thermal energy projects (e.g., OCGT and CCGT) for a consultancy, designer, contractor or major industry clientExperience in thermal energy advisory assignments, including lenders due diligence, acquisition due diligence and vendor due diligence of development, construction and operational thermal energy projectsConduct technical reviews of engineering design documentation prepared by third parties and report on findings; lead the preparation of technical reports and specifications to a high‑quality standard while maintaining schedule and budgetLead and manage tender preparation and negotiation for Owner’s Engineer projectsManage interfaces between main contractorsMonitor contractor progress against programme and key milestones, supporting clients in resolving contractor claimsIdentify and manage all critical risks, issues and impacts of the project, ensuring statutory and corporate health, safety and environmental requirements are metExperience in contract administrationKnowledge of change management, risk management, schedule and cost management, and all other aspects of project managementMake complex decisions, ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to and accept responsibility for own actionsCreate a work environment that promotes health, safety and wellbeingCandidate SpecificationEssentialRelevant engineering or management degree or successful experience in project management of energy sector projectsPrevious experience in electrical infrastructure projects (e.g., Owner’s Engineer, Lender’s Engineer)Excellent communication skillsAppreciation of the commercial aspects of project work, including contract termsAbility to adapt and work on multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic, fast‑paced environmentCollaborative skills to work with cross‑functional teams across different countries and backgroundsDesirableExperience within the Energy Advisory sectorExperience across all stages of the project lifecycleRelevant PM qualifications (e.g., PMQ, PMP, Prince2)UK ImmigrationWe are not currently offering sponsorship to candidates under the Skilled Worker visa route.
