DescriptionThe opportunityThe Data Center Application Engineer serves as the link between data center infrastructure and Hitachi Energy’s specialized expertise in transformers. This role engages customers early in the sales cycle—prospecting and opportunity development—by providing technical and strategic insights that build mutual trust. Acting as the voice of the customer within the organization, the engineer communicates technical preferences, delivers training, and ensures proposed solutions align with market needs. Additionally, the position supports the implementation of the Product Group Transformers (PGTR) strategy, driving profitable growth and reinforcing Hitachi Energy’s position as a trusted partner in the Data Center segment.How you'll make an impactLead the regional Application Engineering activities & support the Business Development activities related to DtC by understanding Market Trends and secure the anticipated growth impact.To fulfill the customer facing dimensions, activities shall include organizing and conducting (CTT’s), attending industry conferences, customer visits, specification influencing recommendations & reviews, off cycle technical and knowledge support to customer contacts.To fulfill the internal Hitachi Energy facing dimensions, activities shall include internal technical trainings , tender strategy & negotiation recommendations. Engage factory and tender engineering teams to develop and deploy trust, acceptance and team integration.You will contribute to, and follow the HUB market plan and collaborate closely with the HUB M&S,
