Software & System Engineer – Defence Embedded SystemsTXT e-Tech, part of the TXT Group, is looking for Software and System Engineers to join its teams dedicated to the development of embedded systems in the Defence sector. The selected candidates will be involved in technically advanced projects focused on software development, system integration, and validation of complex real-time systems.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain C and C++ software for embedded systemsDesign and implement real-time, multitasking, and multiprocessing architecturesDevelop and validate image and video processing algorithmsWork with Qt Framework, Qt Creator, and TI Code ComposerPerform functional testing and Verification & Validation activitiesPrepare and manage technical documentation related to the software lifecycleDesign testbeds and develop automated test scriptsExecute electrical and electronic measurements and debugging activitiesUse tools such as MATLAB & Simulink, DOORS, and Rhapsody for modeling and requirements managementRequirementsDegree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related fieldsStrong knowledge of C/C++ programming (preferably with experience in real-time embedded projects)Familiarity with Python for scripting and test automationGood knowledge of Linux (preferably RedHat) and Windows operating systemsBasic understanding of control systems, robotics, and mechatronicsExperience with modeling and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink)Soft SkillsStrong teamwork and communication skillsAnalytical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesAttention to detail and focus on software and documentation qualityLocationFlorenceBenefitsAccess to a wide range of corporate benefits, including health insurance, welfare programs, meal vouchers, and employee discounts within the TXT GroupCareer opportunities in a growing company with a dynamic and international working environmentHybrid work model, with smart working options and flexible working hoursEmployment and compensation aligned with experience, and the opportunity to work on high-profile technical projects within one of the most prestigious companies in the Defence sectorSeniority levelEntry levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionInformation TechnologyIndustriesIT Services and IT ConsultingPosition open to candidates regardless of gender, in accordance with Legislative Decree 198/2006.
