Software & System Engineer – Defence Embedded Systems

TXT e-Tech, part of the TXT Group, is looking for
Software and System Engineers
to join its teams dedicated to the development of
embedded systems in the Defence sector
. The selected candidates will be involved in technically advanced projects focused on software development, system integration, and validation of complex real-time systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain C and C++ software for embedded systems;
  • Design and implement real-time, multitasking, and multiprocessing architectures;
  • Develop and validate image and video processing algorithms;
  • Work with Qt Framework, Qt Creator, and TI Code Composer;
  • Perform functional testing and Verification & Validation (V&V) activities;
  • Prepare and manage technical documentation related to the software lifecycle;
  • Design testbeds and develop automated test scripts;
  • Execute electrical and electronic measurements and debugging activities;
  • Use tools such as MATLAB & Simulink, DOORS, and Rhapsody for modeling and requirements management.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related fields;
  • Strong knowledge of C/C++ programming (preferably with experience in real-time embedded projects);
  • Familiarity with Python for scripting and test automation;
  • Good knowledge of Linux (preferably RedHat) and Windows operating systems;
  • Basic understanding of control systems, robotics, and mechatronics;
  • Experience with modeling and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink).

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills;
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities;
  • Attention to detail and focus on software and documentation quality.
