AREA is seeking a Director of Operations to oversee the global inbound and outbound shipping operations and logistics of its wholesale and direct to consumer business.Key AccountabilitiesEstablish process for most efficiently navigating tariff and duty implications for global importation and exportation activities. Requires experience with global distribution from within Europe and the United States to global base of wholesale customers.Manage relationship with company’s 3PL partners, shipping couriers, and customs brokers, managing to critical KPIs for receiving and processing and cost improvement.Oversee all inbound receipt activities from suppliers around the world, both within Italy and within North America.Assist with allocations and shipping globally in coordination with sales.Timely processing of stock transfers.Schedule and oversee stock inventory counts per reports and onsite with 3PL partners.Partner with Financing/Factoring Partner to ensure accurate posting of invoices and reconciliation between systems.Responsible for verifying monthly invoices to ensure accurately billed – freight, and warehousing and drive cost improvement strategies for both DTC and wholesale.Reporting on wholesale shipping status and forecast, inbound receipts, returns for direct to consumer channel as well as inventory aging.Approve warehouse 3PL invoicing (reconcile with in bound/outbound activities, monitor costs and provide BU allocation).Support Finance on various accounting activities relating to inventory and shipping.Assist with customer service inquiries.Support the Sales with customer inquiries relating to shipping statuses, order maintenance, and late styles.Participate on EDI implementation and processes and various warehouse processes.Monitor and approve all freights and duties invoices.Analyzing global supply and shipping chain to identify opportunities for improved efficiency in timing and cost.Process Duty drawback.Experience RequiredImporting goods from Asia and Europe within Europe AND North America.Ideally experience working with US major department stores.Experience working in both DTC and Wholesale across.Negotiating contracts and vendor/3PL agreements.Italian and English language skills.Seniority levelDirectorEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionManagement and ManufacturingIndustriesRetail Apparel and Fashion#J-18808-Ljbffr
