OverviewICQA & ISS Area Manager, Inventory Control and Quality Assurance role overseeing Inventory Control (IC) and Inbound Support Services (ISS) within a Fulfillment Center. The position focuses on maintaining accuracy, quality of service, and safe, efficient operations across inventory control and QA activities to support customer expectations.ResponsibilitiesManaging the site-based Inventory Control and Quality Assurance teamMaintaining Health and Safety standards within your sphere of influence and promoting a positive Health and Safety culture on-siteMonitoring KPIs regarding accuracy and integrity of Quality and Inventory transactions; providing feedback to Operations where necessaryReviewing and analyzing customer defect data, and developing action plans to reduce and eliminate causes of issuesDeveloping and executing action plans on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to increase quality, inventory accuracy, and service satisfactionPartnering with Management to communicate Inventory Control and Quality Assurance policies and procedures and monitor compliance in the Fulfillment CenterCarrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Amazon’s policies and procedures, including:Interviewing and training exempt and non-exempt employeesSetting and meeting operational goalsPlanning and forecastingAssigning and directing work and employee deliverablesPerformance appraisal of team membersRewarding and disciplining employees where appropriateBuilding understanding of Fulfillment Center inventory systems and processes, and providing assistance for problem-solvingActing as the primary link between Corporate Retail teams and Fulfillment Center OperationsInvestigating, managing, and re-escalating Retail, Vendor, and Catalog tickets to resolve receiving and inventory issuesSupporting the resolution of problem items that cannot be received under standard receiving conditionsCommunicating clearly with associates and leaders to provide instructions, updates, and escalation statusMaintaining safe, organized work areas while supporting consistent operational performance and customer experienceBasic QualificationsBachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or equivalent qualificationDemonstrated solid proficiency in time management and in organizing large amounts of dataResilient, focused problem solver and self-starter, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a complex environmentProven ability to influence, with varying levels of seniority within an organizationPrevious experience in inventory placement and optimizationFluent user of the MS Office suite, especially Excel; MS Access experience is a plusExcellent verbal and written communications skills in the local language and EnglishPreferred Qualifications2+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, for tracking, reporting, and analysisExperience working in a Fulfillment Center, Receiving, ICQA, or Operations support functionStrong analytical abilities with experience in inventory analysis and topography optimizationExpert in data mining and data preparation, with the ability to turn large data sets into actionable insightsAbility to quickly learn and apply new software systems and data analysis toolsExperience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies and continuous improvement techniquesStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues, identify root causes, and drive resolutionEffective communicator able to work cross-functionally with associates, managers, and corporate stakeholdersComfortable operating in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with competing prioritiesAccommodations and CultureOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
