They prioritize understanding client needs to provide tailored advice, building their business around diverse teams who understand customer challenges.About the role The Head of Risk Management (PAY), reporting directly to the CEO, is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the business, ensuring strategic objectives are met, risks are adequately mitigated, and supervisory needs are efficiently monitored. This role requires attention to detail, advanced interpersonal skills (especially lateral leadership), and sound decision-making. Organization and planning are critical, but high flexibility is also necessary to handle unforeseen obstacles and opportunities.The successful candidate will have the chance to embark on an exciting career development journey, including taking on responsibility for our Spanish business.Key responsibilities Implementing and monitoring the adequacy of the risk management program specific to HCFX Italy operations.Performing daily monitoring of clients and HCFX Italy's portfolios.Analyzing current risks and identifying potential operational and regulatory risks affecting HCFX Italy.Maintaining HCFX Italy's risk register where risk incidents are documented.Maintaining and updating policies and procedures related to risk management.Collaborating with local top and line managers in preparing periodic reports to authorities (RSO, etc.).Performing risk evaluation through research, analytical support, and scenario stress testing.Preparing and presenting operational risk management information to senior management and the board.Monitoring local activity to ensure risk controls are embedded and effective.Designing, implementing, and maintaining an overall financial risk management process, including analyzing financial impacts when risks occur.Tailoring risk reporting to the relevant audience to ensure understanding of risks and accountability.Contributing to creating a local risk culture aligned with the Group, sharing risk awareness among teams through support and training.Essential experience & skills We want to set you up for success, and believe these experiences and skills will help you thrive:At least 3 years of experience as a Risk Manager, preferably in payments.Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Quantitative Finance, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or Mathematics.Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and financial instruments.Proven experience in capital markets, counterparty risk, stress testing, and financial modeling.Exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Proficient in English and fluent in Italian.Join HCFX Team HCFX offers a lively working environment with a competitive salary, great benefits, comprehensive training, and ongoing support from managers and colleagues.
