Katoen Natie has 180 sites in 40 countries in Europe, North America, South America, and the Far East and has more than 17,000 people active in operational, staff and management functions.Katoen Natie manages and optimizes the European supply chain for Strategic Partners in different sectors: Sports, Outdoor & Leisure, DIY, Home & Kitchen ware, E‑commerce, Pet food and Pet Care, Automotive & Industry, Aftermarket and Health‑ and Personal care.Job Description To support our growth plans in Italy, we are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager. The Business Development Manager is responsible for the detection of new business opportunities and the acquisition of new customers contributing to further growth of the business.ResponsibilitiesYou co‑define the business development strategy with the Commercial Director.You translate this business development strategy into a go‑to‑market plan, and you implement the necessary sales actions.You expand your network, create awareness, interest, and trust by organizing direct sales actions (cold calling and prospection) and by being actively present at fairs, seminars, and events.You cooperate with the tender team which results in a strong value proposition to potential customers.You connect with the C‑level of the potential customers, whom you convince and turn into new customers.Your home base is Rivalta, Italy but we expect you to spend most of your time together with the leads, prospects and potential customers. You work closely with the European Business Development colleagues.Your profileProspecting and networking are your second nature. You are a true hunter who derives satisfaction from initiating conversations and building relationships.You work independently and you can implement the defined go‑to‑market plan.You focus daily on connecting and following up with leads/prospects to build and maintain a good sales pipeline.You have a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and you can develop relationships on C‑level.You have a minimum 5‑year business development experience in a B2B function, ideally within the logistic sector.Excellent communication skills in spoken and written Italian and English.Willing to travel on a frequent basis (15‑20%).Master’s degree.Required Experience 5 yearsWe offerAttractive position at management level within a successful company where everyone can flourish and have impact.The possibility to work together with a “best in the industry” international team and sector professionals.A great challenge in a global environment.#J-18808-Ljbffr
