Overview TruTalk is a social connection and emotional discovery app that turns everyday conversations into moments of curiosity, insight, and genuine connection. It’s lightly gamified, human-centered, and designed to make conversations feel alive again.Where We Are We have a live Telegram MVP, a fully designed UX and narrative system, an active GitHub repo, and AWS infrastructure already in place. Early user insights are collected, and we’re now preparing to scale into a standalone mobile app and post-web-app beta phase.The Role I’m looking for a seasoned backend developer to take ownership of TruTalk’s backend architecture as we move from MVP to production-ready systems. You’ll play a key role in designing scalable APIs, session logic, data pipelines, and infrastructure that can support growth, personalization, and future AI-enhanced features.What You’ll Do Own backend architecture, APIs, and cloud infrastructureDesign scalable, secure systems for conversational flows and user sessionsWork with PostgreSQL, AWS, and event-driven or data-heavy systemsSupport future AI-enabled logic (personalization, emotional patterns, prompts)Collaborate closely on system design and product decisionsWhat I’m Looking For Strong backend experience (Node.js / Python or similar)Experience with cloud-native infrastructure and databasesFamiliarity with API design, performance optimization, and scalingComfort in early-stage, ambiguous environmentsA builder mindset with strong execution and systems thinkingStage & Structure TruTalk is currently pre-seed and self-funded.
