If you are a legal professional that sees the big picture constantly inventing future scenarios and building strategies to sustain competitive advantage we have an extraordinary opportunity for you with Emersons Global Enterprise Legal TeamThe Contracts Counsel / Contracts Specialist will be based in either ourMilan (Italy) or Debrecen (Hungary) office and will provide sales‑related contract support to German‑speaking business units across the DACH region and other European markets.The role involves working primarily in English and German; knowledge of Italian would be an advantage. The position offers a high level of autonomy with the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.Lets Go together We offer a dynamic environment where individual contributions and inventions are valued and provide opportunities for training and self‑development.In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:Reviewing drafting and negotiating agreements and transaction documents in compliance with applicable policies and legal and ethical standards with minimal supervisionResponding within established guidelines to customers RFP/RFQs vendor qualification documents and contractual requestsAligning with customers using appropriate contractual language to reflect the business interests and policies of the partiesTaking the Contracts Lead role on more complex projects and frame agreements as experience developsWorking with customers members of the legal team and other Emerson partners to bring deals to closureAnalyzing business financial and legal risksResearching information on existing agreements and contractual programs assisting with analysis and compiling data for reportsProviding contract‑related guidance to Sales Project Management and other partnersWho You Are:You distinguish between what is relevant and what is not prioritizing actions accordingly while analyzing multiple and diverse sources of information to define problems accurately before moving to solutions. Establishing and implementing individual accountability within the team ensures shared responsibility and ownership. Messages are delivered in a clear compelling and concise manner and decisions are made with high quality even when based on incomplete information or in the face of uncertainty.For This Role You Will Need:Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience2-4 years of professional background in a contracts‑focused positionIntermediate MS Office skillsExcellent oral and written English and German language skills; Italian and other languages are an advantageExcellent negotiation skillsPreferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:Extensive knowledge of Contract law & principlesCommercial provisions such as warranty liquidated damages/penalties
