After starting, the selected candidate must obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph or equivalent for each agency for which they perform AWS work.Key Job ResponsibilitiesArchitect and lead development of complex PCB designs incorporating FPGA SoCsDrive system‑level hardware architecture decisions and technical requirementsLead new product introduction (NPI) processes with contract manufacturersDevelop and validate high‑speed digital and mixed‑signal circuitsEnsure designs meet EMI/EMC compliance, thermal, and signal integrity requirementsPartner with FPGA/firmware teams to define hardware interfaces and requirementsLead design reviews and drive technical consensus across multiple teamsMentor junior engineers and establish hardware engineering best practicesA Day in the Life You will work with a cross‑functional team of hardware, software, and FPGA engineers in our dedicated product development lab. Your day might include architecting new hardware solutions, reviewing PCB designs, collaborating with contract manufacturers, debugging prototypes, or mentoring team members. You'll partner closely with product managers to define requirements, work with FPGA engineers to optimize hardware interfaces, and engage with manufacturing teams to ensure smooth production ramp‑up.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field10+ years of hardware engineering experienceExperience in motherboard design, PCB design including schematic capture, stackup and circuit board layoutExperience with DFx (Design for cost, test, manufacturing)Experience with FPGA SoC hardware integration, hardware validation and debuggingCurrent, active US Government Security Clearance of Secret or abovePreferred QualificationsExperience with AMD/Intel FPGA SoC platformsExpertise in signal integrity and power integrity analysis and PCB design tools (Allegro, Altium, or similar)Experience with high‑volume manufacturing and NPI processesExperience with industry standards (PCIe, DDR, SERDES, etc.)Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or aboveCompensation and Benefits The compensation for this position ranges from $128,600 to $213,600 per year, based on geographic location.
