Key job responsibilities Technical LeadershipServe as subject matter expert for payroll operations across assigned countries Lead payroll components in M&A and expansion projects Design and implement robust control frameworks Maintain compliance with local regulations Develop comprehensive technical documentation and knowledge basesProcess ExcellenceDrive end-to-end payroll improvement initiatives Lead root cause analysis for complex payroll issues Implement and optimize payroll processes Provide expert consultation on strategic initiatives Monitor and enhance operational effectivenessStakeholder ManagementBuild and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders Provide expert guidance to cross‑functional teams Lead process improvement consultations Drive collaborative solutions across departmentsMentoringMentor team members Recognize team strengths and growth areasBasic QualificationsExcellent customer service orientation 3+ years payroll/HR experience Fluency in English plus Italian Advanced user of MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas) Deep controllership / statutory compliance knowledge (tax, labour code, social security, garnishments, pension, benefits, terminations) Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast‑paced environment Demonstrated stakeholder management skills Process optimization expertise Experience leading complex data analysis Proficient in obtaining, organizing, and analyzing data to make fact‑based decisions and drive Track record of identifying root causes and implementing preventive solutions at scalePreferred Qualifications5+ years of experience in European or Middle East country payroll operations Deep controllership / statutory compliance knowledge (tax, labour code, social security, garnishments, pension, benefits, terminations) Experience in leading projects Experience in cross‑functional team environmentsAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
