Data Scientist

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our AI Services and Delivery team. Within the team you will be part of the Data Science chapter exchanging experience, know-how and ideas with other data scientists of different seniorities and backgrounds. As a Data Scientist you will be leading methodological effort both for improving Unicredit AI Platform foundations (e.g. foundational Agents for specific task) and for specific projects deliveries across different Unicredit domains and geographies. This role focuses on Generative AI and Agentic AI applications in an enterprise ecosystem, data scientist will need to bridge business needs, performance expectations and technical feasibility.What you can expect from usDesign AI solutions from a methodological perspective,collaborating with Business stakeholders for problem scoping and definition andwith AI Engineers for solution development and deployment. Assess the feasibility of requirements, also leveragingquick prototyping, and map them to AI methodologies. Collaborate with business stakeholders to validate AImethodology results, define evaluation frameworks and enterprise level test setto guarantee at scale performance evaluations. Collect and measure feedback during the adoption phase ofAI solutions, ensuring incremental improvements. Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI methodologies(e.g. latest Agentic AI Developments) For Senior Roles, act as tech lead on horizontal(capabilities and foundations) and vertical (business specific project)delivery. Acting as focal point for methodology discussion, planning andexecution holding accountability for project success and stakeholder engagementon AI System performances. What we expect from youThe idealcandidate has: Master’s degreein quantitative field. 5+ years ofindustry or research experience in data science or AI, with a focus onmethodological efforts and enterprise AI system adoption. At least 2years of experience working with Generative AI (GenAI) technologies. Hands onexperience with Agentic System design and development, including agentic systemtesting. In-depthknowledge of genAI and deep-learning libraries (e.g. LangChain, LlamaIndex,Haystack, PyTorch). Basicunderstanding and experience with common market agentic frameworks (ADK, CrewAI). Understandingand hands-on experience with A2A and MCP. Stronganalytical and problem-solving skills. Excellentcommunication skills, especially with non-technical stakeholders Excellentcollaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in an agileenvironment. For more senior roles, experience in leadingthe delivery of technical teams bridging gaps between methodological andengineering effort guaranteeing smooth transtition between prototyping andproduction grade system. Nice to have: Familiaritywith cloud-native AI solutions for model development and AI services (Azure,Google Cloud). Proficiency inMLOps frameworks and best practices. Knowledge inobject-oriented software development, particularly in Python. Experience withproduction grade Agentic systems, including performance monitoring andevaluation frameworks. Experience withopen-source LM finetuning for Agentic AI applications.
