The EU Projects Training Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, delivering, and monitoring onsite and online training activities and programmes related to EU-funded research projects in the fields of biodiversity and ecosystems. They will conduct training needs assessments that support the definition of effective strategies and operational plans, and contribute to the implementation of a wide range of training initiatives.LOCATION:Service Centrepremises in Lecce, Italy;POSITION:Full-Time, 12 months (with possibilities of renewal)FUNDING RESOURCES Horizon Europe Projects.BENEFITS Gross salary between € (based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate), 40% remote working, flexibility and work-life balance measures.Main responsibilitiesThey will work under the supervision of the Training Coordinator at the Service Centre and report to the Service Centre Director;They will coordinate and/or contribute to the training tasks and activities of EU-funded research projects in the biodiversity and ecosystem domain;They will contribute to identify target audiences and assess training needs of a heterogeneous range of internal and external stakeholders, based on the respective EU Project goals;They will coordinate the definition and development of training strategies and the planning of training activities of EU-funded research projects in the biodiversity and ecosystem domain;They will design, develop and curate digital training resources by working with both in-house and external subject matter experts;They will support the planning, development and delivery of online and onsite training events, as webinars, workshops and summer/winter schools;They will coordinate the drafting and submission of EU Projects training milestones and deliverables in collaboration with scientific and technical project partners;They will contribute to the continuous development of the LifeWatch ERIC digital training platform;They will support the ERIC's initiatives for collaboration and engagement of training working groups to increase opportunities for knowledge exchange among LifeWatch National Nodes;They will drive the organisation's values and culture through all training activities;They will effectively communicate and collaborate with team members, technical personnel, trainers and management required to develop and deliver training;They will keep abreast of training trends, developments and best practices.QualificationsA university degree or equivalent qualifications, with, preferably, a background in Biological and Environmental Sciences, Education, Social and Education Sciences, Computer and Information Sciences, or equivalent;PhD in Biodiversity and Ecosystem Ecological Sciences is a plus;At least 3 years of accredited professional experience in training, learning and skills development, preferably in universities, European projects, research centres or infrastructures, international initiatives or scientific organisations;Good command of adult learning and training theories and practices;Proven working experience in national/international research groups or initiatives or organisations, in particular within large National/European project consortia and programmes (Horizon Europe, PNRR, Cost Action, Life, etc.) in the field of biodiversity and ecosystem;Sound knowledge of Learning Management Systems (e.g. Moodle) and online tools for collaboration and content creation is highly desirable;Basic knowledge of Open Science and FAIR principles and practices;Fluency in written and spoken English. Skills in other European working languages are beneficial;Proven organisation and communication skills, committed to working in teams, in international environments and multi-language contexts;Structured and strategic thinking;Availability to travel abroad for the specific working needs of this position.Application procedureA short covering letter and Curriculum Vitae(1) (EUROPASS format and annexes, 4 pages at the most) shall be written in English and submitted by 15 January 2026.
