Role: Electrical Engineer (Design) Milan, Italy (Hybrid Working) We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join a growing renewable energy engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge solar PV projects, taking ownership of designs and electrical calculations across medium-voltage plants ranging from 500 kW to 7–8 MW. The ideal candidate will bring strong electrical expertise, autonomy, and a hands-on approach to engineering challenges within a collaborative team. Design and develop innovative solar PV projects using AutoCAD and other engineering tools. Perform detailed electrical calculations, including cable sizing, voltage drop, short-circuit analysis, protection coordination, selectivity, load flow, earthing, and arc flash studies. Ensure compliance with DSO portals, grid connection requirements, and regulatory obligations. Use and maintain electrical test equipment for system validation. Collaborate with other engineers to optimize designs and support project delivery from concept to commissioning. Proven ability to design complex solar PV systems with AutoCAD. Strong electrical knowledge and experience across a variety of designs. Hands-on experience with electrical calculations (cable sizing, voltage drop, short-circuit, protection coordination, selectivity, load flow, earthing, arc flash). Familiarity with DSO portals and regulatory requirements in Italy. Proficiency with electrical design and analysis software such as Ampere, Amtech, ETAP, EPLAN, SPAC Automazione, Caneco, Neplan, DigSILENT/PowerFactory, and AutoCAD Electrical.
