About the Role We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Product Development Engineer to join our Submarine R&D team with a specialized focus on the Flexible Factory Joint (FFJ) , a key accessory that connects sections of high‑voltage submarine cables. You will be responsible for developing and industrializing new solutions aimed at adding new value propositions to submarine cable systems, with a particular focus on meeting the increasing demands of higher voltage ratings and deeper sea installations. All activities will be carried out in close coordination with other R&D functions (such as materials and testing) and will require a broad technical perspective (encompassing design, materials, process development and validation) and a hands‑on approach. The role involves collaboration across multiple departments as well as frequent interactions with external suppliers and Prysmian production sites across different countries.
