In the role of Pastry Commis at Castello di Casole, a Belmond Hotel, you will support the Pastry team in delivering refined dessert experiences that reflect the hotel's farm‑to‑table philosophy and commitment to quality. Working alongside experienced pastry professionals, you will contribute to the preparation and presentation of desserts and baked goods, while developing your technical skills in a structured, high‑standard kitchen environment.ResponsibilitiesSupport the Pastry team in the daily preparation and presentation of desserts, pastries, and baked goodsAssist in basic food preparation tasks, ensuring consistency and adherence to established recipesMaintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in line with hygiene and safety standardsFollow HACCP, health, and safety regulations at all times, reporting any issues when identifiedCollaborate with kitchen colleagues to ensure smooth service and efficient workflowRequirementsPrevious experience or training in pastry or bakery, preferably in a professional kitchen environmentPassion for pastry arts and a strong interest in developing technical skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environmentGood communication skills and openness to learning and receiving feedbackAttention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitudeBenefits At Belmond, we pride ourselves on fostering a culture built on kindness, active listening, and genuine connections with our colleagues and guests.
