Job Title: DBA / Technical Architect (Freelance Opportunity) Location: Full Remote (Occasional travel if required) Languages: English (mandatory), Italian (preferred), (Spanish or French a plus). Experience: 5+ years Engagement: Freelancing About the Role We are looking for a highly skilled Database Administrator (DBA) / Technical Architect to join our team on a freelance basis. This role involves designing robust database architectures, ensuring optimal performance, and supporting critical business applications. Key Responsibilities Design and implement database architecture for high availability and scalability. Manage database administration tasks: installation, configuration, upgrades, and performance tuning. Ensure data security, backup, and disaster recovery strategies. Collaborate with development teams to optimize queries and application performance. Provide technical guidance on infrastructure and integration projects. Troubleshoot complex issues and ensure system reliability. Required Skills Strong expertise in RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL). Experience with database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and DevOps tools. Ability to design high-availability architectures and implement replication strategies. Familiarity with data modeling and ETL processes. Soft Skills Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and ability to lead technical discussions. Proactive and detail-oriented approach. Additional Details Location: Remote (authorized teleworking), occasional presence in Milan/Turin. Languages: Fluent English (Spanish or French a plus).
