Application Engineer

For our Italian Branch located in Caponago (MB) we are seeking a committed and proactive: Application Engineer The position is part of System Division with the objective to support the Sales department during the complete bidding phase. The main tasks will be: Prepare complete costing and technical proposals Review customer specifications and prepare requests for quotations for the auxiliaries Interface with all Burckhardt departments to prepare the required documentation for firm quotations such as ITP, P&ID, and GA Interface with procurement and plant sizing department for the costing of critical items Provide support to the regional procurement team to find new suppliers in the assigned region and give inputs to update the Burckhardt Global Vendor List Contribute to the development of standard regional costs for Auxiliaries items and support implementation in the standard tools Ensure fast project handover to the contracting team upon project closure on assigned projects Candidate Profile: Master's or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, or similar education Experience in the skid building business Experience in reviewing and commenting on high-demand EPC specifications (Shell DEP, Exxon, etc.) Experience on Auxiliary costs (Market Benchmark) At least 2 years' experience as a project manager or project engineer, or at least 3 years additionally in other similar roles (Project Manager / Application Engineer) Very good English knowledge, fluent in spoken and written We are looking for: Strongly target-oriented and committed individuals Enthusiastic persons who can motivate and win others in the team Proven customer orientation/satisfaction track record, including willingness to go the last mile to achieve this Well-structured work approach with the ability to set priorities Flexible and open-minded Good team players who are willing to work with/support sales people We offer: Structured induction process Flexible and hybrid working conditions Versatile and autonomous activities and tasks Working environment with professional development opportunities Participation in job-related training and further education Appreciative cooperation with a family-like corporate culture Demonstrated lived values that value diversity Dynamic, international environment with committed employees We look forward to receiving your complete application documents.
