ResponsibilitiesLead and ensure together with PEQ PM / HoD the quality of the generated deliverables and their compliance with contractual requirements and company standards, procedures and work instructions. Prepare and discuss with Project Team (Project Manager and/or Project Engineering Manager) and Engineering Head of Department the execution strategy of the project (including the project schedule) and assure its application throughout the entire project life. Coordinate the activities of the discipline across locations and engineering centers, guaranteeing document consistency with the contract, respecting the schedule, implementing contract requirements, managing budget (cost and man-hours), and ensuring deliverable quality under the guidance of the Project Manager / HoD and in cooperation with other Project Engineers. Interact with client representatives and vendors on technical topics impacting time and costs. Issue technical documents (calculations and drawings); issue Material Requisitions, and the technical tabulation of vendor offers. Follow up with vendors during bidding and project execution; review sub-vendor documents as requested by the Responsible, in agreement with the Project Team. Provide assistance to inspection and construction departments as required by project needs. Participate in bidding to issue technical proposals; contribute to the development of new solutions for Proprietary equipment; participate in technical training and knowledge exchange with colleagues across the Group. Conduct technical training as per department and company needs and share experience with colleagues of the Tecnimont Group for new design techniques. Stay updated on technical improvements within the discipline.CompetencesExperience with static equipment for Petrochemical or Oleochemical applications (Pressure Vessels, S&T Heat Exchangers, Air Coolers, Filters, Plate Heat Exchangers, Reactors). Ability to review client specifications & standards; prepare customized equipment supply and design specifications; prepare equipment inquiry / purchase requisitions. Competence in preparing equipment mechanical data sheets using 2D CAD software, and preliminary pressure equipment calculation design software (Compress-3D) and technical bid evaluations. Competences in mechanical / structural drawings review; materials knowledge (ASTM); general competence in rotating equipment (fans/motors); and heat exchange and refractory calculation (Symutherm preferred). Ability to review vendor engineering drawings, calculations, and technical documents; interface with other disciplines and departments. Knowledge of API, ASME, ANSI, PED Directive, TEMA, EN and other process industry codes and standards. Ability to produce accurate project deliverables and maintain project schedules and man-hour budgets.Required Skills & QualificationsDegree in Mechanical Engineering (3+2) with 5 years of experience in the same position. Fluent English (spoken and written). Willingness to travel for work. Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment; adaptability to different disciplines (Thermal exchange, static equipment, rotating, package equipment).
