Field service technician

Location: Lombardy, ideally Milan or Bergamo areasWho will you be working with? Our equipment is used, among other things, to inspect welds, detect hidden cracks, voids, porosity, and other internal irregularities in various materials.How will you make a difference? As Field Service Technician you will be responsible for participating in the installation and maintenance activities of large NDT solutions at Customer sites. Moreover, you’ll be involved in the execution of feasibility studies for new applications.What will your typical day look like?Fine tuning and optimization of PLCs Programs and HMIs (Siemens and Allen Bradley and/or others)Active participation in the installation of new systems together with the project team, providing support in adjustment and testing of automation software and related hardwareSupervise and implement automation projectsPropose and integrate developments and innovations in system automationSupervise, from the point of view of the technological direction, the developments on the automation platformsUnderstand the application requirements of various technologiesProvide maintenance training to customersParticipate in the design of electrical plans for the automation partSupport the after-sales service activitiesBe present on site during the installationsPerform feasibility studies supported by NDT specialists in Evident Integration Centre in Opera (MI)Represent a Po C for customers for maintenance activities and problem resolutionPerform any other related task requested by his immediate superiorWhat do we want to know about you?Bachelor's degree in Mechatronic / Mechanical Engineering+5 years of relevant experience in programming industrial and automation equipment or systems installationProfessional knowledge of English and Italian (French is an asset)Basic knowledge of robotic programming and C++/C#Basic knowledge of how to perform maintenance on electromechanical systemsKnowledge of NDT, ultrasound or eddy current would be an assetCustomer oriented and capacity to deliver trainingsCapability to work independently, organized and methodicalProblem solving skillsInterpersonal skills and able to work in a multidisciplinary teamAvailability to travel up to 50% globally, for up to 3 weeks in a row when necessaryLa ricerca è rivolta a candidature di entrambi i sessi, ai sensi delle leggi 903/77 e 125/91, e a persone di tutte le età e tutte le nazionalità, ai sensi dei decreti legislativi 215/03 e 216/03.
