We reimagine the possible across the nuclear industry every day.About The Role As a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Programmer you will develop programs to control machining or processing of metal parts by automatic machine tools, equipment, or systems.You will report to the Engineering Manager and be located at Monfalcone, Italy. You will have a hybrid working arrangement of up to 3 days a week onsite.Key ResponsibilitiesPromote meaningful discussions about Safety Culture Behaviors.Read carefully the drawing and the tolerances applied to the machined surfaces, understand the fabrication cycle and all the applicable procedures for the machining phase.Define the machining steps and the best positioning of the piece/component in front of the machine tool.Define the best machining strategy, with the appropriate tools needed to obtain the desired shape and surface finish.Prepare the CNC program for the selected machine using CAD/CAM software (Catia V5) and simulate the prepared program using simulation software (Vericut). Additionally, prepare the digital Tool List with Tool Management Software (Zoller TMS).Collaborate with the entire engineering team to prevent from the design phase mechanical machining solutions that then prove difficult to implement.Work with the engineering team to assess any kind of safety aspects for the pieces handling, to provide the proper related work instructions duly completed.QualificationsEngineering Graduate preferred.Minimum 2 years of experience as CNC programmer.English level: intermediate or B1.Why Westinghouse?
