OverviewJUNIOR SOMMELIER Villa Igiea reopened on May 2021 completely refurbished after almost two years of renovation work. It shows contemporary design while maintaining its Liberty soul. The hotel has 100 rooms and suites, overlooking the flourishing gardens and the Gulf of Palermo. Well-known Chef Fulvio Pierangelini leads the kitchen brigade and conceive the hotel culinary offer. A beautiful Wellness Centre is available for relaxation and body care while sports lovers will find a spacious and well-equipped fitness room. The property is enriched by a see front swimming pool for the exclusive use of Guests.Main purpose: The Junior Sommelier helps the restaurant team to ensure the best Guests’ experience is provided through a flawless service. We expect personalised interaction with our Guests in order to deliver them the best culinary experience, whilst recommending and up-selling wines to pair with their meals. Reports to: Maitre.Main duties & responsibilitiesSupport in preparing the wine lists, purchase orders, inventory and requisitions;Assist the F&B Manager in monitoring stock levels and sales and suggest actions to improve sales;Cooperate with F&B Manager to develop special events about wine for our Guests;Providing an excellent and personalized Guest experience anticipating their needs and handle complaints;Keep the wine canteen clean and updated;Support in drafting monthly inventory of wine and all related beverage.Support the Restaurant team in order to deliver the service.We offerSeasonal contract according to C.C.N.L. Settore Turismo.Learning & development activities and career opportunities.Opportunity to stay in one of our hotels at a reduced rate (35€ per night) upon reaching 6 working months.
