We’re creating intelligent automation and resource management systems that eliminate friction for engineering teams working with lab hardware—solving complex problems in resource orchestration, state management, and distributed systems to ensure hardware is always available, properly configured, and ready when teams need it. You will architect hardware and software platforms to enable standard and emergent satellite test scenarios, provide the computing backbone that powers multiple different test venues, and work to improve uptime and equipment health of these venues through health checks and automation. The end goal is a secure, flexible lab, available and in a healthy state when the various engineering teams need them. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect and develop the hardware and software platforms that enable hundreds of engineers to discover, reserve, and utilize lab resources without conflicts or downtime. Solve complex problems in resource orchestration, state management, and distributed systems—ensuring hardware is always available, properly configured, and ready when teams need it. Support and accelerate Leo's development velocity by removing infrastructure bottlenecks and automating repetitive tasks. Enable lab engineers to focus on high-value hardware work and development teams to ship faster without fighting over resources and ensuring their test environments mimic the actual satellites.Basic QualificationsExperience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure. Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust. Experience with Linux/Unix. 3+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability, and scaling).Preferred QualificationsExperience with distributed systems at scale.Location and Compensation USA, WA, Redmond - USD 129,200.00 - 174,800.00 annually. Base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
