This role represents a key step in a professional culinary career, combining hands-on operations, leadership development, and exposure to high-level service within a dynamic, international environment.Key Responsibilities Culinary Operations & Quality Support daily kitchen operations across all sections (hot, cold, pastry, banqueting) Ensure consistency in food preparation, plating, timing, and presentation Oversee mise en place and support peak service periods and special events Ensure compliance with recipes, portioning, HACCP, and hygiene standardsFinancial & Sustainability Support portion control, waste reduction, and proper inventory rotation Assist with stock monitoring and food cost awareness Promote sustainable practices, including the use of local and seasonal ingredients and efficient product usageLeadership & Team Development Supervise and mentor junior team members (Commis, Apprentices) Support onboarding, training, and day-to-day guidance Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative kitchen cultureInnovation & Collaboration Contribute ideas during menu development and seasonal promotions Support tastings, events, and new dish rollouts Collaborate closely with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef to ensure operational excellenceCandidate Profile Previous experience in quality hotel or restaurant kitchens;luxury hospitality experience is a strong plus Solid culinary fundamentals, strong attention to detail, and passion for food quality Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining consistency and organization Team-oriented professional with strong values of care, respect, integrity, and continuous learning
