You’ll collaborate across AWS to deliver safety, security, and high capacity at low cost while embracing an inclusive culture that values bold ideas.Amazon is looking for an Infrastructure Delivery Installation Technician to join our growing team within infrastructure operations. You will work with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of next‑generation networks and assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale our network.Key Job ResponsibilitiesMoving and implementing large enterprise equipmentInstalling fiber and copper cabling and patching cabling between equipmentEnsuring proper safety and security standards during cabling and rack installationFollowing well‑established hardware installation procedures and break‑fix activitiesSafely using material handling tools and equipmentTraveling within and outside of the regional work area is requiredPhysical RequirementsRegularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ poundsWork in a 24/7 environment, including primary responder rotation and after‑hours support as neededWork in cramped, elevated, or noisy environmentsBend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours a dayAscend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitationBasic QualificationsHigh school or equivalent diploma1+ year of experience in a technical or vocational role such as computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, data center operations, or technical project managementPreferred QualificationsExperience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressureKnowledge of system, network, and OSIndustry standard certifications: CompTIA, CCENT, Network+Knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipmentExperience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologiesExperience with medium to large, complex project scopes and ambiguous details within a work environmentAdditional InformationNOTE: Amazon is not able to provide sponsorship now or in the future for these positions.
