EHS European Leader

The corporate Safety Manager plays a key strategic role in defining, deploying, and continuously improving the Company’s Health and Safety framework across all manufacturing sites. He collaborates closely with Safety, Environment and Energy Global Organization and plants EHS teams to ensure consistent implementation of EHS best practices and regulatory compliance across the entire Beko Europe organization The EHS Senior Manager is accountable for leading and governing the Environment, Health & Safety framework across Beko Europe’s manufacturing footprint. The role ensures a consistent, compliant, and high-performing EHS management system aligned with the best practices of the White Goods / Home Appliances industry, supporting safe operations, operational excellence, and sustainable manufacturing. The position can be based in Milan, or Cassinetta (VA). Your responsibilities will include Define and deploy EHS policies, standards, and operating models across all European manufacturing plants and facilities Ensure full integration of EHS requirements into manufacturing processes, industrial engineering, and production systems Act as the central EHS authority for Beko Europe organization Cross-Functional & Sustainability Integration Collaborate closely with Safety, Environment and Energy Global teams Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, HR, and Sustainability functions Contribute to ESG and sustainability goals related to safety, emissions, waste, and energy efficiency Ensure EHS considerations are integrated into new product introductions, new lines, and industrial investments Regulatory Compliance, Governance & Standards Guarantee compliance with EU and local EHS legislation applicable to white goods manufacturing environments Lead and coordinate internal and external audits, certifications, and assessments (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001) Define minimum EHS requirements and ensure consistent application across plants Deploy and maintain corporate EHS policies, standards, and guidelines aligned with the Global Organization, applicable to all sites Ensure alignment of local plant procedures with EHS Global Organization and corporate requirements and global regulatory frameworks Conduct periodic corporate audits, benchmarking and cross-site assessments to ensure consistency and best practice sharing Support sites during regulatory inspections and ensure follow-up of corrective actions Drive systematic risk assessment and hazard analysis for manufacturing processes, machinery, ergonomics, chemicals, and energy usage Lead major incident investigations and ensure robust root cause analysis and corrective action plans Strengthen contractor and supplier EHS management within manufacturing and logistics activities Performance Management & Continuous Improvement Define and monitor European EHS KPIs (i.e. LTIFR, TRIR, near misses, energy and environmental indicators) Promote continuous improvement initiatives aimed at zero accidents and reduced environmental impact Benchmark EHS performance against leading white goods and industrial manufacturing peers Culture, Training & Capability Building Build a strong, proactive EHS culture embedded in daily manufacturing routines Develop EHS capability across plant leadership, line managers, and shop teams Support safety leadership programs and behavior-based safety initiatives Promote a culture of continuous improvement through safety programs, leadership initiatives and employee engagement Reporting & Stakeholder Management Provide regular reporting and strategic updates to the VP Manufacturing, Beko Global teams and executive leadership Support decision-making with data-driven insights and risk assessments Represent Beko Europe in industry forums, audits, and regulatory discussions when required Master's degree in engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field 10+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing environments, preferably within White Goods, Automotive, or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Proven experience managing EHS at multi-plant or regional level Strong expertise in EU EHS regulations, industrial risk management, and manufacturing processes Fluent in English and Italian Experience in lean manufacturing or operational excellence environments is a strong plus Strong industrial mindset with hands-on manufacturing exposure Ability to influence and challenge senior plant and functional leaders Structured, data-driven approach to risk and performance management Excellent communication skills in English; additional European languages are a plus Comfortable operating in complex, matrixed international organizations What we offer Strategic role with direct impact on European manufacturing performance Opportunity to shape EHS standards across a large White Goods industrial footprint High visibility with senior leadership International scope and professional growth opportunities We are an equal opportunity employer.
