Our Development Optimization BESS & Hybrids team at RWE Renewables - Europe & Australia is responsible for developing innovative approaches for the integration of BESS technologies and services into our renewables portfolio and making them ready for development at scale across Europe. We are looking for a **Manager Development Optimization (M/F/d) **to work with us shaping tomorrow’s European green energy landscape.

**Your tasks**
- Manage the development of an approach for integrating energy storage into the renewable energies portfolio:

- Work closely with key internal and external stakeholders to remain at the forefront of understanding of key requirements for energy storage in the Italian market (i.e. regulatory, TSO, technology requirements, market openings, etc.)
- Closely engage with the onshore development teams in Italy to identify needs
- Drive the development of the integration involving experts across multiple departments (e.g., commercial, legal, engineering, etc.)
- Co-lead first project implementations and subsequently make the approach ready for scale
- Cooperate, communicate with and consult internal and external key stakeholders for storage development, including key executives, with support of management
- Create proposals that support the objectives of the department, setting goals, scope, timeline, budget, KPIs, etc.
- Communicate the initiatives proactively and effectively within the company, disseminating progress/ findings and gathering additional ideas
- Develop renewable energy projects with new technologies in collaboration with the development team of the respective country from early stage origination through to the investment decision and handover to the construction team
- Conduct initial profitability analyses of projects
- Draw up schedules & support the approval processes as part of scheduling for the entire project in coordination with the local development team’s project manager
- Prepare all documents required for project approval Represent the organisation and projects outside the company and develop and maintain a network to relevant stakeholders

**Your profile**
- 3-4 years professional experience in project development or project management - ideally in renewables development - gained in Italy
- Very good analytical skills
- Solution oriented and independent working style
- Excellent team-player with very good interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Italian with other languages (out of German, Spanish, French, Polish, Swedish, Dutch) being a plus
- Willingness to travel on regular basis within Italy and rest of Europe
