We are seeking a Group Customs Manager to join our team in Milan
Reporting to the Group Indirect Tax Senior Manager, you will be the go-to expert for all customs-related issues, providing invaluable support and advice to our global subsidiaries, ensuring compliance and optimizing processes.
What you will do:
- Work closely with HQ business functions, local tax and customs personnel, external providers, and the Group Tax team to ensure seamless compliance with customs regulations.- Develop and maintain comprehensive customs processes, policies, and practice manuals. Oversee necessary changes in the ERP system to ensure consistency and compliance.- Monitor and manage legislative changes in relevant territories, effectively communicating their impact to stakeholders.- Contribute to international projects including restructuring, tax optimization, cross-border transactions, supply chain management, ERP implementations, and data analytics.- Provide training and support on customs matters to various business functions including Sales, Supply Chain, R&D, Purchasing, and Finance.- Assist local customs teams in managing audits and disputes efficiently and effectively.
What do we need?- Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Law with a specialization in customs and/or international trade.- 5+ years of post-qualification experience, ideally within a large group or a reputable international law firm or within global accounting firms- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and deliver accurate, timely results.- A proactive self-starter with a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude.- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Italian is a plus.
