We are looking for an Engineering Manager with experience in photovoltaic to just our team in Rome.

**Your Job**:

- Professional team lead, management and coordination
- Line Manager tasks including personnel responsibility, resource planning, cost centre budget planning
- Supporting your line manager with recruiting and onboarding of new team members
- Supporting your line manager with development, introduction and implementation of standards for technical work, workflow and team tasks
- Provide suitably qualified and experienced engineering personnel to project teams led by project managers (matrix organization)
- Personnel meetings (weekly and yearly) and strategic employee development.

**Your profile**:

- Act as a key engineering interface to all internal and external stakeholders by coordinating the various internal engineering work streams such as PV design, civil design and grid design.
- Focusing on the realization and execution of global projects and leading a team of 6 to 8 PV Engineers / Systems Engineers / Electrical Engineers.
- Lead the detailed Engineering phase of the project and the preparation of the various design packages for project execution.
- Responsible for technically and commercially optimised designs.
- Provide bill of materials and drawings for enabling construction tendering process, including instructing layouts, detailed drawings and SLDs.
- Support the EPC Development Managers in the Dev to EPC preparation process (including Acquisitions), across all technical aspects.
- Undertake site visits together with the project team to sites under EPC preparation as well as sites under construction.
- Support the Inhouse Engineering Consultants in liaising with third party experts for Site Assessment Surveys and Reports according to project requirements.
- Coordinate and manage third party local engineering consultants to ensure the detailed design is accordance to all relevant local norms and standards.
- Undertake project design assessment considering the planning permit requirements, site assessment surveys and reports and optimization focusing on overall project value optimization.
- Undertake internal Energy Yield Assessments (EYA) and curtailment analysis for various scenarios to support the project optimization and value maximization.
- Support the Engineering Technologies and Procurement teams in the assessment and evaluation of new technologies (modules, inverters, transformers, module mounting structures, SCADA systems and Energy Storage Systems)
- Support the Transactions Managers in the Technical Due Diligence process (Acquisition and/or Financing) and manage internal and external stakeholders as well as service providers.
- Coordinate and manage Technical Advisors such as Owner's Engineers, Lender's Technical Advisors, etc during the various project transactions from an technical / engineering perspective.
- Provide support to the Contracts Managers during the preparation and review of EPC Contract Technical Appendices.
- Review the EPC Contracts, Contract Approval Sheets and Purchase Orders, etc for compliance with the Project Requirements and the EPC Contract appendices.
- Support Project Managers as needed across all technical aspects during construction period, Works Completion, PAC and FAC.
- Supporting (on request) our Post Construction Management Team in case of problems during the operational phase in root cause analysis and solution finding.
- Coordination with other EMs to manage the utilisation of resources
