What you'll need to have
- 2-4 years working experience in a management position, preferable in distribution, retail, logistics or similar
- Good knowledge of supply chain, warehousing operations, understanding and interest in 3rd party logistics
- Proven knowledge of health and safety laws, standards and regulations related to warehousing activities
- Proven successful leadership in delivering both business results and people development
- Analytical capability to enable translation of business and customer needs into development initiatives, project management skill (organizational and time management).
- Entrepreneurship and ability to drive change and embrace the changing and ability to act pro-actively and be able to find new solutions and solve problems
- Dynamic, action-oriented team player that is self-motivated and confident in making decisions, also in the unknown
- Broad Understanding of Supply Chain and standard ways of working
- Good in communication across all levels
- University degree in Economics, Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or proven performance in supply chain management is a plus
- Fluent in English and Italian

What you'll be doing day to day
- Be responsible for overall warehouse goals setting and for creating and implementing local business plans/project
- Be responsible to increase DC efficiency and achieve operational KPIs, challenging and improving current ways of working
- Be responsible together with internal ESP to secure an adequate operations sizing in order to cope with volume forecast and possible deviations
- Be focused on Everyday Product Quality standards, striving for excellence
- Promote collaboration and co-creation across the whole Supply Chain and involved stakeholders
- Secure that legal and safety & security demands are respected according to IKEA requirements
- Communicate, lead and develop people according to the “Human Resource Idea” and leading through values
- Empower your team by delegating responsibility, especially to your team leaders to help them grow and develop according to their individual ability and experience.
