What you'll need to have
To perform at your best in this position, you should have:
- University degree (Logistics, Engineering, Economics or related) or equivalent working experience (preferable international and within IKEA);
- A minimum of 3 years working experience in a Senior Management position (preferable in Logistics, Retail or related);
- Fluent in English
- Good oral and written Italian is mandatory: language training is foreseen but a good command of Italian language must be reached quickly.
- Good understanding of Supply Chain and Warehousing Logistics with Customer and quality in focus;
- Deliver results aptitude, with a disciplined and continuous improvement approach (LEAN knowledge is an asset);
- Proven leadership and success in building teams and motivating people;
- Adapt to change and enable change aptitude, with project management knowledge, open, dynamic, action oriented team player that is self-motivated and confident in making decisions;
- Awareness of relevant rules and concepts concerning HSE;
- Ability to build trustful relations with all stakeholders and reach win-win commitments, by playing a truly interdependent leadership style;
- Good understanding of social relation and environmental topics;
- Potentiality and motivation to get a next step;
**Responsibilities**:
Customer Fulfilment (CFF) is a fundamental part in making IKEA multichannel retailing a reality. To support IKEA in achieving business objectives, CFF acts as a fully integrated, process-oriented organization with an end-to-end approach to develop our business and deliver results across functions together with our partners. We are focusing on providing seamless shopping experience with great quality in all touchpoints for the many people.
The Deputy Central Fulfillment Unit Manager will support the Unit Manager in creating a customer-centric and high-performing Customer Distribution operations in the assigned unit. He / she will support the creation of the right prerequisites in the unit to enable growth and secure that the Customer Fulfilment agenda can be translated into the unit organization. He / she will support operations initiatives while leading, steering, planning and doing follow ups, as well as supporting the development of the overall organization within the unit. He /she will be accountable for a strong collaboration and cocreation with counterparts on both market and group level.
We are now looking for an engaging and strong leader, open to everyday challenge and able to work in a fast moving and changing environment and with a significant logistics background oriented to continuous improvement and a good experience in leading and empowering people.
As DC/CDC Deputy Unit Manager, you’ll have also the operational responsibility as Warehouse Manager: this in order to develop and full round the needed competence to be a solid Unit Manager in the future. You will:
- Contribute to reach to the excellence in running DC and CDC operations, with the customer in focus and the total supply chain in mind;
- Support in leading, coaching and developing an organization which delivers ordered goods within the agreed time and in the agreed quality to the lowest possible DC/CDC operation costs;
- Foster a continuous improvement culture within the organization and keep high level of engagement and commitment among co-workers;
- Contribute to the development of Piacenza Unit, through the participation in projects and networks;
- Act an effective partnership with Retailers (both IKEA and NIF) and provide the support expected from Piacenza Unit in making the Multichannel Strategy a reality
