Systems Engineering Manager

**ROLE DESCRIPTION**

As the Systems Engineering Manager within the Silk-FAW Automotive ADAS team you will be in charge of the definition, development and delivery of the ADAS features for all Silk-FAW hyper and super road cars.

The ADAS team is responsible for defining the customers’ experience for all the driving assistance systems and deliver the technologies to implement these strategies on all Silk-FAW hyper and super cars.

The Systems Engineering Manager within the team will be in charge of leading the team for the creation of all the systems engineering deliverables, including defining the customer experience at vehicle level detailing use cases and scenarios, designing the UI/UX/HMI including driver I/Os and GUI at functional level and setting KPIs such as performance targets, availability, noise factors and false positive/negative rates.

He/She will also be in charge of the system design including the logical and system architecture diagrams, functional failure mode analysis, decomposition of functional safety goals into technical requirements and decomposition of requirements into domains and components.

He/She will also lead a team of Technical Project Managers responsible to lead cross-functionally the ADAS activities in the different vehicle programmes, coordinating both the internal ADAS core pillars (Systems, Components, SW and Validation) but also liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver ADAS content meeting time, performance, quality and costs targets.

The position requires a highly motivated and hands-on team player with excellent interpersonal skills, strong work ethic, all with a positive attitude. The fast-paced development provides a challenging environment that suits a specialist who has the ability to define and deploy technical strategies, develop team members and manage suppliers, through a combination of technical skills and leadership attitude.
- Lead the Systems Engineers to define premium customer experience and achieve best in class system design for the ADAS features
- Define processes, methods and tools to establish state of the art systems engineering framework within the department and across the whole company
- Lead the TPMs to manage projects, resolve escalations and remove roadblocks to deliver ADAS content in the vehicle programmes
- Define and establish project management best practices to track progress, spot issues and manage a cross-functional team of internal stakeholders and external suppliers
- Deliver state of the art ADAS features in premium vehicles

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Experienced and passionate about ADAS features with a customer-first mindset
- Experienced in ADAS physical architecture, its sensors and their characteristics and its SW computing architecture and its impact cross-domains at vehicle level architecture
- Experienced and passionate about Systems Engineering, its methodologies and tools, MBSE, Systems Thinking and Systems Intelligence
- Passionate about leading a team and people development
- Several years of experience in delivering systems for high pace innovative projects
- Track record of leading suppliers to deliver on performance and quality targets
- Experienced in managing complexity of cross functional activities
- Experienced in technical project management methodologies
- Ability to define plans to meet targets and adapt them in order to overcome issues
- Problem solving mindset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language, social and interpersonal skills
- Willing to travel and work flexible hours when required
