**＜SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE＞** Onitsuka Tiger Company was established as an in-house company under ASICS Corporation on 2018/Oct/1st. We are on a mission to drive and expand Onitsuka Tiger’s global business and become the most iconic premium lifestyle brand. As we are establishing a strong organization to expand our business, we require a Designer for Apparel to proactively participate in this activity. **＜DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES＞** - Design Onitsuka Tiger Apparel. - Propose creative ideas and design solutions, work on trend research, and develop final sketches. - Collaborate closely with the Design, Merchandising, and Product Development teams on the designated brief to ensure alignment with the brand's seasonal direction and business needs. - Be fully driven by consumer needs and trends to execute the product strategy for Onitsuka Tiger, driving seasons/categories design from conceptualization to finished products. - Manage the planning, implementation, and analysis of merch briefs and line plans, ensuring that creative designs align with branding guidelines and commercial needs. - Review and approve materials, colours, and final styles based on input from the Design, Merchandising, and Product Development teams. - Clearly communicate ideas, plans, and solutions to stakeholders and team members. - Ensure effective communication to promote understanding, alignment, and support for problem-solving efforts. **＜REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE＞** - 3+ years’ experience as an Apparel Designer in a fashion brand. - Knowledge of technical garment construction, têxtiles, and manufacturing processes. - Excellent understanding of fashion trends, consumer behaviour, and market dynamics. - Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. - Proficient in English. **＜HISTORY AND VISION OF Onitsuka Tiger＞** Onitsuka Tiger was born in 1949 as a sports shoe brand. The company continued to evolve until 1977, actively incorporating innovative ideas and technologies. In 2002, the company was reborn as a fashion brand in search of a more sophisticated style. Shoes that were once used for competitions were updated to shoes for town use, and they became loved as fashion items. Newly designed clothing and bags also express Onitsuka Tiger's commitment to both traditional detailing and a fashion mindset. Onitsuka Tiger is now undergoing a further evolution. It is sublimating itself into a "premium fashion brand.
