The Material Planner handles end-to-end planning of inventory in excess of invoicing, from purchase requisition to customer invoice, assisting internal customer service inquiries. In this role you will set inventory parameters and inventory targets, while making sure that there is adequate replenishment of inventory through purchase orders.

**This position reports to**:
Procurement Manager

**Your responsibilities**:

- Segment the materials portfolio through ABC/XYZ analysis, product lifecycle management and commercial policy and define inventory policies.
- Calculate and maintain inventory parameters in planning systems and ERP systems: safety stock, reorder point, lot size, lead time and replenishment strategies.
- Work with buyers to get the best supplier performance in terms of supplier on-time delivery, Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ), quality, lead time, and flexibility.
- Work with operations buyers and our Global Business Services center to align planning of material with call offs and ensure that purchase requisitions are converted into purchase orders.
- Manage materials resource planning exception messages and assist in cycle counting and/or year-end inventory counting.
- Conduct financial risk assessments relating to inventory and root cause evaluation when necessary.
- Evaluate excess and obsolete/aging inventory and take appropriate action with others to optimize inventory performance.

**Your background**:

- Degree in Industrial Engineering or technical diploma is required
- At least 1 year of experience in Planning or Purchasing dept is preferable
- Knowledge in OPEX projects management (Inventory, Efficiency etc.)
- Knowledge of SAP MM and PP, Office, especially Advanced Excel (Pivot table, Macro)
- Fluent Italian and very good knowledge and English (level B2)
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills as well as a positive leadership and proactive attitude
