Global Corporate & Commercial is the Generali Group unit developing P&C business and insurance services for medium and large companies. The unit acts on a global scale and deploys an integrated approach at Group level with a central management team and specialized teams active in individual countries. Through GC&C, Generali aims to become a key world player in the corporate-commercial segment.
We are looking for a **GC&C Portfolio Analyst**.
The role holder is accountable for supporting the Technical Excellence function in the development of tools and techniques to optimize profitability, strengthen governance, and drive forward Generali Global Corporate&Commercial sustainability strategy. Responsible, within GC&C, for:
- Managing the portfolio performance process through portfolio management & business analytics capabilities and techniques
- Managing proper and fit-for purpose GC&C technical governance through organization and processes and across countries
- Support execution of GC&C portfolio decarbonization in accordance with Group commitments as part of Net Zero Insurance Alliance
**Main Responsabilities**:
1- **Portfolio Management**
- Supporting the analysis of the overall GC&C portfolio results, trends and patterns
- Designing and deploying the portfolio management discipline
- Implementing the portfolio monitoring tools
- Assisting BU in the target setting and supporting BU in achieving targets
- Performing data quality checks at all stages of portfolio management.
- Preparation and steering of Portfolio review meetings
- Assisting UW functions in steering the business accordingly
2- **Performance, Governance & Control**
- Driving Portfolio Management performance review processes
- Gathering and analyzing a pre-defined set of business/financial KPI’s such as;
Portfolio Tiering, Rate Movement, Retention Rate, Pricing, NATCAT, LPRE
- Maintaining guidelines & technical measures in alignment with Group and GC&C framework
- Providing systematic training on technical capabilities, methodologies, and usage of tools and dashboards to execute the Portfolio Management framework and to support the profitable growth of the GC&C portfolio.
- Providing systematic feedback (qualitative and quantitative) to BUs to continuously improve the execution of the different phases of portfolio management.
**3- Sustainability and Net Zero Transition**
- Contribute to the development of a technical framework to embed Net Zero targets into GC&C underwriting strategy
- Drive forward GC&C sustainability initiatives also in collaboration with Group Head Office
**Requirements**:
- Experience in portfolio management and short term insurance
- Experience in Corporate & Commercial channel a plus
- Experience in Climate Change Science and Policy a plus
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work with multicultural project teams and to foster a good work environment
- Ability to code in Python/R or Power BI knowledge a plus
- University Graduate / Post Graduate
- Actuary or PhD a plus
