Oncology Strategy and Future Portfolio Lead

**Role & responsibilities** Reporting to the Head of Oncology Strategy and Future Portfolio, the Oncology Strategy & Future Portfolio Lead plays a key role in supporting the development and implementation of the Oncology Business Unit (OBU) cross-franchise long term strategy, and in defining and managing the cross-functional activities related to oncology and hemaatology future assets (brand/indications up to EMA approval): define strategic plans, coordinate cross-functional activities and ensure resources prioritization. The role broadly includes the following key components: **External/market focus**: - Perform high-level market analysis to generate insights / competitive intelligence / horizon scanning to anticipate market trends and opportunities, and drive innovation. - Define and execute an externally focused OBU strategy to consolidate AstraZeneca’s position and reputation as key partner in Oncology and Hematology, with a cross-franchise approach and proposition. - Manage OBU's cross-franchise commercial strategic projects. - Identify opportunities to support patient pathways’ optimization and services in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders. **Future portfolio and early asset**: - Coordinate the cross-functional team to analyze market and business opportunity, drive market shaping, evidence generation and access preparation for OBU’s future portfolio. - Develop an early asset cross-functional plan based on identified business needs and gaps. - Drive long term forecasting processes and ensure a smooth handover to franchise when needed. **Internal focus**: - Support and manage key internal processes for business planning and operations. - Optimize the interactions and alignments among all franchises to identify and share best practices, and to develop a synergic cross-franchise approach to support OBU’s overarching strategy. - Harmonize OBU governance and streamline processes to increase agility and efficiency and sustain OBU’s growth ambitions. - Proactively liaise with all business excellence functions to ensure launch and operational excellence for OBU’s current and future brands. **Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience Essential**: - Bachelor’s Degree - >5 years experience in Pharma business - Strategic thinking and influencing - Excellent project management skills - Analytical skills - Proactive approach and entrepreneurial spirit - Experience in leading and coordinating cross-functional teams - Orientation to innovation - Planning and budgeting skills - Written and Spoken proficiency in both English and Italian **Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience highly Desirable**: - MBA - Previous experience as strategic consultant - Marketing and Commercial Excellence experience - Previous experience in the Oncology therapeutic area - Digital Expertise
