Finance Manager

A big international Group in the education industry is looking for a Finance Manager for its Italian venue, based in Florence

The Finance Manager reports directly to the Cluster Finance Manager situated in another European country.

**Posizione**:
**Main Activities**:
Budget, Forecast and Reporting: Budgeting operations and reporting to the manager. Review and collaboration for annual accounts. Variations analysis to report to the manager. Review of balance sheet and P&L accounting. Monthly cash flow.

Auditing and controlling: KNowledge of the main audit fundamentals and support to external auditors. Cost control and check on pricing and recording of trips and other Company’s events.

Taxes: Preparation of monthly accounts and collaboration in annual declaration. Preparation of all financial and statistical returns for the government within statutory deadlines.

Systems and procedures: Implementation of new systems (accounting, invoicing....) and procedures. Training to staff.

**Additional Activities**:
Financial and accounting integration of the Italian branch into group policies

Reporting on main KPIs

Maintaining a documented system of accounting policies and procedures

Recording of payroll and reporting to the Group Finance Team

**Requisiti**:
**_Degree: _**High school diploma or degree in Accountancy/Economy

Languages: _**Must be fluent in English for regular interactions with the Head Office. Other European languages are considered a plus

**_
IT:_** Strong understanding of the most common Office software and reporting tools (e.g. Excel). Ideally a good knowledge of some of the main accounting software

Attitude and soft skills: _**We are looking for an ambitious, tech-savvy and skilled finance specialist, who masters the principal accounting and financial activities. They have a strong analytical mindset together with great drive to grow in the position and be able to get a supervisory role in other Italian branches that are going to be opened in the med-term.

They will lead the implementation of a new accounting software and will be responsible for the training of their team. They will also be able to level up the Italian branch to the accounting and financial policies and procedures of the international Group.

Working in a worldwide group and reporting to the Finance Cluster Manager in another country, they need to be able to work independently within clear guidelines. They will work in the Florence office overseeing a team of 2 accountants and in close contact with the local Business Manager.

Excellent interpersonal and communicational skills are required, combined with commitment and passion for the job.
