**Job Summary**:
The APAC Regional General manager (RGM), Supply & Operations will be an integral member of the senior leadership team of our Supply & Operations Division. The role will primarily focus on the general management of our China facility but will also provide strategic direction for the region and contribute to the deployment and execution of our business strategy, whilst ensuring excellence in delivery in all objectives and major projects, completing them on time, to quality and within budget. The role is responsible for establishing manufacturing process in our fledgling China operation, as well as bringing best practice and continuous improvement practice to our smaller operations across the region, namely Japan, Australia, Singapore and India, whilst considering the broader manufacturing strategy and footprint for the APAC region.

This position holds full responsibility for P&L, capital expenditure and the safe, sustainable operation of the facilities across APAC. The role requires a seasoned senior leader who has successfully built teams, established performance standards for manufacturing plants and operated within a matrix organisation across multi-functional areas and geographic locations. The role will develop and enhance existing manufacturing operations to meet the global standards as well as develop the capability and strategy to support the business to achieve higher levels of customer service, while ensuring the most efficient use of investment.
- **Key Responsibilities**:
Establish and grow the China facility to ensure we manufacture and distribute to our global standard and enable us to effectively manufacture locally to serve our customers in APAC.
- Bring best practice and continuous improvement ideas to the existing operations in Japan, Australia, Singapore and India
- Lead the development and implementation of an APAC Supply strategic plan, working on borader manufacturing footprint strategy for the region.
- Build understanding of NPI process, working closely with manufacturing engineering to provide manufacture potential bepoke product designed for the region.
- Prioritise the talent agenda. Identify and attract talent, both internally and externally.
- Coach, develop and motivate a high-calibre team that will further enhance the commercial, excellence mindset
- Build strong relationships with peers in the Supply & operations leadership team and counterparts in the Sales divisions of Watson Marlow.
- Ensure there are a full range of best-in-class internal supply chain processes and systems in place to enable the business to meet the demands of the customer in terms of quality, delivery, and price
- Develop stocking policy and operational procedures for global manufacturing, regional warehousing, and operating companies to optimise use of working capital, and service our customers effectively
- Develop global procurement and sourcing strategy and manage global supplier development and strategic purchasing
- Ensure consistency and a best practice approach to distribution and warehousing globally
- Monitor performance and develop corrective action plans, as required, to ensure planned performance is achieved
- Passionately lead the top priority: the health, wellbeing and safety of colleagues; creating a strong interdependent safety culture through the reporting of leading indicators, continued implementation of the Behaviour Based Safety programme and driving a quest for zero accidents.
**Skills/Experience**:

- **Plant management experience and proven P&L ownership having preferably led multiple plants
- Track record of implementing a strong safety and performance culture
- Proven leader who effectively inspires, leads and engages their team, as well as creates a collaborative environment and strong followership
- A passion for talent development and people growth
- Success in leading and managing strategic projects within time, cost and quality parameters.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
