If you think you can make a difference to our team, go ahead and apply. **What you'll do** As a Modern and Contemporary Art Expert, you will be closely involved with evaluating and arranging lots submitted by our users. Using your expert knowledge and your extensive network, you will be responsible for creating attractive auctions every week. Catawiki strives to keep user transactions as transparent and fair as possible, and your expertise and experience play a large part in maintaining this standard; you know better than anyone what items are of interest to our users. You will review lot titles, descriptions, lot pictures, and provide users with an estimated value based on this information. If you need to reject a submission, you do so in a professional and courteous manner. Your efforts result in exceptional auctions that bidders will find irresistible. We also expect you to create your own auctions by engaging with your top Sellers and by working with our Sales teams, to attract new Sellers and offer even more choice to our Buyers. You will be daily involved in the Modern & Contemporary Artworks operations and commercial strategies and your knowledge on the Secondary Market, gallery management will be strongly valued. Finally, you'll also be working together with the Category Manager and the Marketing Department to be a Modern and Contemporary Art evangelist, within and outside of Catawiki. You will be involved in the marketing plan designed to promote the Catawiki Modern & Contemporary Artworks department, and you will be interviewed for press articles. **What you'll bring**: - You are an absolute Modern & Contemporary Expert specialising in Post-War and Contemporary Artworks, ranging from paintings, to drawings and sculpture/3D. - You have experience in gallery management and/or specialist experience at an auction house - You have hands on experience in trading related to Modern & Contemporary Artworks; - A strong network of dealers/ buyers. - You are a commercial individual and have a "can do" attitude - You are a natural team player and thrive in a diverse team environment; - Fluent Italian language skills; - Excellent English communication; - Good computer skills (Google sheets & slides in particular, as well as Datastudio); - Naturally, you have an extensive network of potential sellers and experts in your field; - You have the diplomatic competence needed to act as a mediator in disputes between users; - You have strong negotiation skills **Where you'll be**: The role is based in Italy with a work-from-home arrangement.
