Stakeholder and Consent Manager

An important role within the Offshore business, this role will lead on the stakeholder and consenting aspects of offshore wind farms, while working closely (when applicable) with joint venture partners. The broad range of activities undertaken by the team includes supporting tendering activities, gaining necessary planning consents, discharging conditions ready for projects to be built and ensuring consent and environmental compliance during construction. The work can involve onshore or offshore components of a project and can include consenting and consent compliance related to the operational phase of a project as well as early stage Development tasks around greenfield siting and site constraint analysis.

**Your future plans**:

- Working closely with the authorities involved in the permitting and other legislative processes;
- Early stage development responsibilities for greenfield siting and site constraint analysis;
- Being informed and ensuring compliance with norms, standards and procedures in the area of responsibility;
- Taking part in lobbying activities and working groups within in the associations and with authorities
- Work closely with procurement to ensure the Supplier Database is kept up to date and Tier 1 contractors are used
- Responsible for closing out Supply Chain Plan commitments and ensuring local content opportunities
- Monitor and anticipate any issues with the stakeholders and consider mitigation strategies
- Working closely with joint venture partner (when applicable), to lead and be responsible for managing and coordinating advice on key consenting issues;
- Leading and conduct negotiations on consenting on behalf of the business with the joint venture partner and with stakeholders on the project;
- Monitoring and anticipating any issues with the stakeholders and consider mitigation strategies;
- Ensuring RWE best practices and processes are implemented and applied in contract management ensuring involvement and interfacing with key company functions like Purchasing, Insurance, Financial, Legal, etc.

**Your profile**:

- A degree in business, renewable energy, engineering or equivalent qualification is desirable, but a proven background in a meaningful commercial activity may be sufficient
- Proven experience of stakeholder and consent negotiating and delivering large capital projects and major consulting advice
- Ability to manage the negotiation of multi-contracts in competing timescales
- Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation associated with construction projects
- Several years of relevant work experience and good expertise in project management standards
- Good knowledge of methods of project planning, organisation and project management
- Fluent in Italian and English, additional language skills would be an advantage
- Strong relationship skills required for developing stakeholder agreements
- Research and strategic analysis skills
